Day 1 Palermo

Arrival at Palermo airport, you will be met in the arrivals hall by your driver and transferred to your farmhouse located in the Palermo Area.
Depending on the time of arrival of your flight, you might have time to visit Palermo, one of the richest towns in the island for history and art: the Cathedral, the Palace of the Normans and its superb “Palatina” Chapel; enjoy a panoramic tour of the historical centre (the “Quattro Canti”, the Opera House, the Pretoria Square). We also suggest to visit the nearby town of Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics representing a complete cycle of the Old and New Testaments, and the Cloister of the Benedictines Abbey with its Moorish architecture. Overnight in your country resort/farmhouse in Palermo area.

Day 2 Palermo – Erice – Selinunte

After breakfast if you did not have the time to visit Palermo on your first day in Sicily, you might take the chance to do it today; in alternative, drive to Segesta to visit the Doric Temple immersed in a wonderful landscape, then continue to Erice, a medieval town full of myth, history and art on the summit of Monte San Giuliano: walk through its winding lanes, inner courtyards and cobbled streets and take a break for lunch. Continue to Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean area with the impressive Temples and Acropolis. Overnight in your country resort/farmhouse in Selinunte or Sciacca or Agrigento area. (BD)

Day 3 Selinunte – Agrigento

After breakfast visit the magnificent Valley of Temples of Agrigento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site including the Temple of Concord, which is in almost perfectly preserved conditions, Juno and Heracles that represent the most beautiful example of the Greek Civilization in Sicily. You can also visit Sciacca, a town located on the southwestern coast of Sicily that offers brilliant views of the Mediterranean Sea. Back to your country resort/farmhouse, overnight. (B)

Day 4 Agrigento – Piazza Armerina – Ragusa

Breakfast and Depart to Piazza Armerina in the inland of Sicily, to visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale: it is the richest, largest and most complex collection of late Roman mosaics in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Ragusa where you can visit the enchanting historical centre “Ibla”, with its stunning baroque palaces and churches; together with other seven cities in the Val di Noto, Ragusa is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. If you’re staying in Ragusa for the night, you can visit Modica, a small Baroque town rich of beautiful churches and famous for the chocolate. Accommodation and overnight in your country resort/farmhouse in either Ragusa or Syracuse area. (B)

Day 5 Ragusa – Syracuse – Mount Etna area

After breakfast, you can visit Syracuse, the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily: visit of the archaeological park “Neapolis”, including the famous Latomie of the Paradise, the Greek Theatre and the Dyonisios “Ear” and the island of Ortigia, the small baroque old city centre of Siracusa, where you can admire the Cathedral, which is built on the site of the Temple of Minerva, the legendary “Fontana Arethusa” and the Temple of Apollo. Continue to Catania. Accommodation and overnight in your country resort/farmhouse in the Mount Etna area. (BD)

Day 6 Mount Etna Area – Taormina – Mount Etna Area

After breakfast, weather conditions permitting, you can take an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape, we will reach a height of 1900 metres to visit the Sylvester Craters where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama over the Ionian Sea. Continue to Taormina, charming city called “the pearl of the Ionian Sea”, founded in 400 BC and beautifully located overlooking the sea and the peak of Mount Etna. Visit of the fascinating Greek-Roman theatre and enjoy time at leisure to shop for handmade lace, coral jewels, ceramics, home-made sweets and preserves down “Corso Umberto” or simply walk through its tiny streets. Back to your country resort/farmhouse and overnight. (B)

Day 7 Mount Etna Area – Cefalù – Castelbuono – Palermo Area

After a buffet breakfast, depart to Cefalù, charming coastal town, a former fishing village which is also home to a breathtaking Norman Cathedral, famous for its Mosaic of Christ Pantocractor – a stunning Byzantine mosaic that’s considered as one of the most important pieces of religious artwork in Sicily. Take a stroll to the city centre and down main street to reach the Cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Time at leisure to relax at a cafe of your choice for lunch. You can continue to Castelbuono, a medieval village in the Madonie Mountains and stay there for the night or proceed to Palermo area. Accommodation and overnight in your country resort/farmhouse. Day 8 Depart Palermo

After breakfast, you will be met for your private transfer to Palermo airport, where our services will conclude upon arrival. (B)
