Italy’s glamour stands out even more, thanks to its heel! Enjoy a self-drive tour around Apulia, also known as Puglia, a unique region forming the heel of Italy’s boot, in search of the most delicious food and wine of the area. Dine in charming restaurants, which use fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, recommended by Slow Food in the “Osterie d’Italia” guide. Taste Southern Italy’s most appreciated local products, such as the Caciocavallo Podolico cheese, Martina Franca Capocollo, Altamura traditional bread, Pucce Leccesi & Tarallucci, and savour the exquisite Primitivo wine of Manduria. Cravings fulfilled, delight the rest of your senses as you drive through Puglia’s enchanting towns and cities. Venture into the caves of Castellana Grotte, catch sight of UNESCO’s extraordinary Trulli homes in Alberobello, visit the white village of Ostuni, admire Lecce’s generous stash of baroque structures, and explore the fascinating cave town of Matera, dubbed as the City of Stones, a favourite setting of some Hollywood films. These and more overwhelming beauties are waiting for you in the land of flavours and wonders.
