The villas where our painting getaways in Sicily are held are designed in traditional Sicilian style, selected for their stunning locations and picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. These villas feature beautiful outdoor areas, including swimming pools framed by almond and olive trees. After a refreshing swim, you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the terrace. Sicily is the perfect destination for a Mediterranean island escape, and our villas provide the ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Upon arrival at Catania Airport, our transfer will greet you and take you to the villa, where you can settle in, meet your teacher, chef, and host, and enjoy a welcome drink. Dinner this evening will be prepared by your chef at the villa.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your first painting lesson. With your tutor, you’ll explore the villa and its surroundings, sketching the pomegranate and olive trees, ancient villa walls, and scenic views from the roof terrace. After lunch, you’ll focus on developing your sketches into more refined pieces, with an emphasis on composition and technique. The afternoon is free to relax by the pool or continue painting before dinner.
Today, you’ll visit the coastal town of Siracusa to explore its historic old town, perfect for sketching scenic vistas. After a morning of creative work, enjoy lunch at a local trattoria in Ortigia. In the afternoon, head to Noto for a lesson in landscape painting while admiring the beautiful valley views. Return to the villa for a chef-prepared dinner.
After breakfast, you’ll travel to Marzamemi, a charming fishing village known for its tuna fishing. Spend the day sketching by the seaside, followed by lunch at a local trattoria. Continue painting in the afternoon before returning to the villa for aperitivi and dinner, prepared by your chef.
This day is dedicated to refining your drawing skills, with a lesson focused on sketching buildings and simplifying perspective. The afternoon is yours to either continue working on your art or relax by the pool. Lunch and dinner will be enjoyed at the villa, prepared by your chef.
After breakfast, you’ll participate in another painting session before heading to the stunning town of Modica for an afternoon of sketching its picturesque scenes. The day will conclude with dinner at a local restaurant in Modica.
Enjoy a relaxing morning by the pool or put the finishing touches on your artwork. After lunch, your favorite pieces will be mounted and displayed for an evening exhibition. To celebrate, enjoy a special farewell dinner at the villa, prepared by your chef.
After breakfast, our transfer will take you back to Catania Airport for your departure. Arrivederci!
