Day 1: Arrive in Rome, Italy

Arrive in Rome, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, join your Resident Tour Director for a welcome dinner.

DAY 2: Rome - Essence of the Eternal City

Begin the day with early access to the Vatican Museums, followed by a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica. After lunch, explore the Eternal City, starting at Palatine Hill, where your local guide brings Rome’s ancient origins to life. Continue past the Arch of Constantine and tour the legendary Colosseum, which dates back to AD 80.

Day 3: Rome - Artistic Masterpieces

Visit the Montemartini Museum, housed in a former power station, where classical Roman statues are displayed amidst an industrial backdrop. Stop by Eataly for a taste of local specialties, followed by some leisure time. In the evening, embrace an Italian tradition with a pizza-making class at a neighborhood pizzeria.

Day 4: Florence - Tuscan Landscapes & Wine Tasting

Travel to Florence, enjoying the scenic Tuscan countryside along the way. Stop at a renowned winery for a guided tasting of Brunello di Montalcino paired with a light lunch. Then, continue to Florence and settle into your historic city-center hotel.

Day 5: Florence – Accademia & Cooking Experience

Discover Florence’s vibrant streets with your art expert guide, including a visit to the Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David. Later, enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Cappella di San Luca to meet an art restorer. In the evening, participate in a hands-on Tuscan cooking class at the Florence University of the Arts, learning how to craft local dishes.

Day 6: Venice - Mountain Views & Wondrous Mosaics

Board an express train to Venice, crossing the Apennines and Po Valley. Upon arrival, cruise along the Grand Canal by water taxi, then experience a gondola ride. After lunch, visit St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, and the Doge’s Palace. Later, check into your Venetian hotel.

Day 7: Venice - Design Your Day

Choose one of these activities for your personalized Venice experience:

– Visit a traditional gondola workshop and learn about this historic craft.
– Take a walking tour of Venice’s Jewish ghetto and see the famed textile weavers at Tessitura Bevilacqua.
– Explore famous movie locations, including scenes from Indiana Jones and The Italian Job.

Enjoy a free afternoon before gathering for a Scenic Sundowner overlooking the Venetian Lagoon, followed by a memorable farewell dinner.
