Our day will conclude with a visit to the ancient monastery of Saint Francis of Assisi before returning to the farmhouse.
On this day of your Italy holiday, we’ll explore the renowned wine regions of Montalcino and Montepulciano. Taste one of the world’s finest red wines, Brunello di Montalcino, and take a guided tour of prestigious wineries and cellars. In Montepulciano, you’ll experience the charm of a medieval village, famous for its cultural festivals and local craftsmanship. We’ll also stop by traditional artisan shops and wine bars, completing the day with a dinner at the farmhouse.
Today, you can choose to either relax at the farmhouse or request a day tour to Florence, Arezzo, or Siena. Chianti region – Greve in Chianti
Wine enthusiasts will love this day spent entirely in the Chianti region. We’ll visit vineyards, wineries, and cellars to uncover the stories behind Chianti’s famous wines and extra virgin olive oil. After sampling the region’s finest offerings, we’ll head to Greve, home to Tuscany’s most renowned butcher and deli shop. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase the best local produce before enjoying dinner back at the farmhouse.
On this part of your Tuscany tour, we’ll explore the unspoiled beauty of La Maremma, known for its stunning landscapes. You’ll visit a prestigious winery designed by world-famous architect Renzo Piano, where you’ll learn about the connection between the Etruscans and Tuscan wine. Later, we’ll head to Castiglione della Pescaia, a medieval village with picturesque views, delicious restaurants, and lively nightlife. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on one of Tuscany’s best beaches before returning to your accommodation.
Pratomagno mountain – Loro Ciuffenna – Gropina
Today, we’ll take you to the breathtaking Pratomagno mountain, a place rich in history and mystery. We’ll start with a visit to Loro Ciuffenna, followed by a stop at the beautiful Roman church of Gropina. Explore the small medieval villages scattered across the mountains, sampling local products and, weather permitting, ascending to the summit for panoramic views. We’ll conclude this memorable day with a final dinner at the farmhouse.
